LSBU: Enterprise embedded across the University

A multi-disciplinary team of enterprise educators from London South Bank University (LSBU) has been recognised by Advance HE for successfully embedding enterprise across the university. The team includes professional service staff, academic Enterprise Champions from LSBU’s seven Schools and three Student Enterprise Ambassadors. Since September 2014, Student Enterprise has supported over 18,000 students and graduates to participate in curricular and extra-curricular enterprise activities. The team has successfully embedded enterprise across the institution, with almost 100 curriculum activities being delivered annually across all seven of LSBU’s Schools. The team has impacted on student outcomes, with increased numbers of students starting businesses on graduation and feedback surveys demonstrating increased confidence in displaying enterprise skills. York St. John: Grad 2 Director programme success

York Business School at York St John University are celebrating student successes on their new Grad 2 Director start-up programme, developed in partnership with Dr John Park, an international expert in product and service innovation. The programme has a simple ambition – to help York St John University graduates to transform their fantastic business ideas into flourishing business opportunities and in its first year of running, the programme has helped students start up 10 new companies! The programme provides a full online course and app, workshops and clinics and investment opportunities. One student, now managing director of Impact Media Productions, Lauren Hall uses theatre expertise to create unique visuals and was recently awarded the Young Entrepreneur Award from HRH the Duke of York.
