Background and summary

EEUK Enterprise Exchange events are one day best practice style mini conferences where educators and practitioners come together to share and exchange good practice and expertise related to enterprise and entrepreneurship education.

‘Small is Beautiful’ is an enduring principle EF Schumacher gave the world. We can apply it both in relation to creatingAlisonPrice new enterprises, and also to the enterprise experience in small, new and specialist universities and colleges. This event, hosted by Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln, celebrated and shared ways in which smaller institutions are developing enterprise in their learning, research, student and community engagement activities. It explored the connections between institutional mission and strategy with the development of an enterprising curriculum; student experience and employability; and business support and engagement. It also helped educators running small subject areas, and FE Colleges developing enterprise within HE to learn from these approaches.

MASHEIN is a network of small HEIs funded by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education and hosted by Bishop Grosseteste University. Further details can be found at: https://www.lfhe.ac.uk/en/member/mashein/index.cfm
