Keele University is passionate about supporting current student and graduate entrepreneurs. Our dedicated student enterprise team, which is based in the Research and Enterprise Services office, offers a range of ways for interested participants to increase their skills base. By working on a collaborative start-up programme and having strong working relationships with local businesses, the team is able to offer a high level of knowledge for signposting and guidance on how to start up a business.
Our most recent collaboration has been the SPEEDWM and EFS programmes. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund,
we were able to provide students, graduates and staff with training workshops, mentoring and funding – all with the key of aim of supporting start-up businesses and helping participants to expand their key skills.
First and second year students are also able to select an elective module in Entrepreneurship. This module, which runs for one semester and which is worth 15 credits, culminates in the presentation of each team's business proposal to a judging panel.
The Enterprise Team also assists the Keele SIFE team and the recently formed Keele University Enterprise Society.
