Recognising that Entrepreneurship is a driving force in the modern, globalised economy, Canterbury Christ Church University offers a BA/BSc (hons) in Entrepreneurship, in combination with Business Studies or Marketing within the Business Framework, or in combination with another subject.
Canterbury Christ Church's Business School has recently established a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation which aims to promote Entrepreneurship and Innovation education and to provide a platform for research and knowledge exchange in support of business and economic development.
In addition, the University's Centre for Enterprise and Business Development (CEBD) provides support to complement the undergraduate degree which includes organising workshops, subsidising travel to attend key conferences and networking events to running 'Xing' sessions and providing business start-up advice and support. It also provides advice and staff development workshops for academics on a range of subjects, including innovative thinking, presentation skills, pitching for and closing a deal and the basics of IP exploitation.
