Coventry University prides itself on its approach to enterprise and entrepreneurship and the Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship was formed to provide a focal point of its activities in these fields. Our aim is to provide students, staff and our wide range of stakeholders with access to high quality teaching, research and business support.
The IAE team is a very dynamic group. We have specialists in project management, business support and education. A number of the team have run their own businesses and many continue to do so.
We offer both undergraduate and postgraduate specialist Entrepreneurship courses in addition to supporting continuous professional development through short courses and training for all Coventry University students. Our approach is to ensure that knowledge is supported with practical application by bridging the gap between academia and business.
Our research and the projects we undertake link to and feed into our teaching. Our research interests include: family business; business support impact; social enterprise; open innovation and systemic entrepreneurship. We currently have projects with European partners, in Nigeria, China, South Africa, Oman and, of course, in the UK.
