Enterprise Educators UK has responded to the recently published government White Paper 'Students at the Heart of the System'.
The response welcomes the explicit mention of the need for enterprise in Section 3 of the White Paper and the appointment of Professor Tim Wilson to undertake a review of university-industry collaboration.
The importance of student-led support for the development of enterprise skills and knowledge is also acknowledged. However the need for additional routes and methods of support are highlighted and concerns raised about the availability of university staff and enterprise champions to support extracurricular activity, curriculum development and liaison with enterprise societies at a time of cuts to teaching and learning grants and restructuring of HEIF.
