Are you a dynamic individual with a strong interest in helping early stage start-ups and supporting the next generation of entrepreneurial talent at Imperial? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Venture Mentoring to join our growing team. Imperial Enterprise Lab is committed to inspiring, educating and nurturing the next generation of STEM entrepreneurs at Imperial College London. You will help us achieve our vision to be acknowledged as a global centre of excellence for student and graduate entrepreneurship by building a world-class venture mentoring programme and contributing to the development of new and innovative pre-seed support services and programmes.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Leading the development, management and growth of all Enterprise Lab business coaching and mentoring services
  • Growing the impact and reach of our new flagship programme, the Imperial Venture Mentoring Service (IVMS)
  • Launching and managing a new ‘Experts in Residence’ (XiR) programme
  • Mentoring and coaching early stage student and graduate entrepreneurs
  • Working with key stakeholders to develop new relationships and partnerships to better support Imperial’s early stage start-up community
  • Leading the development of pre-seed support activities at Imperial Enterprise Lab

Essential requirements

 

  • Experience of mentoring and coaching early stage student start-ups and entrepreneurs
  • Knowledge of challenges facing student and graduate entrepreneurs, especially in the pre-seed funding space
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to deal with people on all levels
  • Strong interest in entrepreneurship education
  • Entrepreneurial ‘can do’ attitude
