The Student Enterprise team at London South Bank University (LSBU) supports students and alumni to start their own businesses, explore self-employment and develop key transferable skills and experiences for their future careers. The team support over 5,000 individuals every year.
Working with established entrepreneurs, industry experts and a network of small businesses on site, LSBU offers an exciting programme of curricular and extracurricular activities, including: inspirational talks, practical workshops, pop-up markets, start-up programmes and inter-disciplinary hackathons and challenges.
Collaborative initiatives with academics have created the South Bank Collective (CIC), a creative agency in the School of Arts and Creative Industries, and the Business Solutions Centre, where students act as advisors and consultants to local small businesses.
LSBU received the Times Higher Entrepreneurial University of the Year Award in 2016 and the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) in 2018.
