University of the Highlands and Islands

The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) comprises a network of colleges and research centres, spread across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. There are a broad range of enterprising and entrepreneurial developments across the partnership, both within and in addition to, the university curriculum which reflects the creative, cultural and economic diversity of the region.

CREATE, the Highland Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, based at Inverness College UHI is an enterprise learning centre which offers a comprehensive package of support for students and members of the community including workshops, an annual business competition and training for small businesses.  In addition, the centre provides a range of support and training for educators, from a Postgrad module designed for teachers and lecturers to a 2-day programme called the Scottish Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Educators’ Programme (SEE) to help foster enterprise and entrepreneurial outcomes through teaching and learning.
