The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,328 – £42,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

UCL Innovation and Enterprise aims to encourage, engage and inspire entrepreneurship; providing the relevant support and learning to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of UCL students, researchers, staff and alumni. Based in the entrepreneurship team, the Business Acceleration Advisor will provide information, advice, guidance and support to our budding entrepreneurs and startups. Collaborating with the wider team and colleagues across UCL, the Business Acceleration Advisor will also work with our professional practitioners, advisors and mentors within our more intensive business environment currently known as UCL Hatcheries. This intervention enables greater access to a wider range of targeted support that includes opportunity to work in UCL’s dedicated co-working space at BASE KX.

We are looking for colleagues to join our team who have active knowledge and experience of business development and incubation. This will include insight and knowledge of the processes that encourage innovation, creativity, and how these translate into tested business and enterprise ideas that have a greater chance of success. Facilitation of group and individual sessions, building the capacity of students, researchers and staff to test proof of concepts, pitch, network, secure funding and compete for attention in a crowded space will be a key part of this.
