The University of Exeter have designed and implemented a new evaluation framework that enables them to measure and evidence the value and impact of entrepreneurship education programmes, beyond the usual stats of new ventures create or investment raised.
In this session, Emily Davies, Head of Student Entrepreneurship, will share how Exeter have developed a method through which to capture harder-to-reach metrics such as changes in confidence in knowledge & skills, entrepreneurial intent and ambition, attitudes towards entrepreneurship as a viable graduate career path, appetite for risk, creative problem-solving competency, and more.
Emily will also discuss results of the data captured so far and the valuable insights into how the program is impacting students’ attitudes towards entrepreneurship, their perception of their own skills & ability to succeed on an entrepreneurial path & where they identify outstanding gaps in their knowledge or understanding.
At a time where student enterprise teams will come under increasing scrutiny, this session will provide key examples as to how to demonstrate impact beyond vanity metrics, showing that entrepreneurship education can improve student experience in a variety of tangible and intangible ways.
