EEUK Enterprise Exchange: Enterprise Education and ITE (Initial Teacher Education) – How can EE be embedded, lessons from the Curriculum for Wales

Online

Thursday 26th June 2025, 09.40am for a 10am start – 4.00pm

Summary

This exchange event will showcase the ways in which Enterprise Education is embedded in Initial Teacher Education (ITE). It aims to bring together HE, FE and  teachers to explore how the Curriculum for Wales has highlighted the importance of enterprise from the earliest years of education. Activities will highlight how Teacher Training programmes are developing educators who are not only enterprising but are ready to develop enterprise in others.

The event will consist of three key strands:

  1. How is enterprise education embedded in teaching and teacher education.
  2. How can enterprise be incorporated into the curriculum, with a particular focus on the impact of the Curriculum for Wales.
  3. How we can work in partnership across HE/FE and business to develop opportunities.

The event will be an online mini conference. Presentations and panels will delivered live online as well as being recorded so that they can be available as asynchronous assets. In this way, the event will both develop innovative provision for students entering teaching and can also provide professional learning materials for practicing educators.
