All Day 18/11/2024 - 24/11/2024
This Global Entrepreneurship Week, between the 18-24 November, the University of Salford’s Business School students and colleagues will gather with industry for a series of events focusing on the central theme of ‘entrepreneurship is for everyone.’ The School has organised a host of student-led and industry-connected events to involve, inspire and inform its student community.
Kickstarting with a fireside chat with global entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Vikas Shah, on the 18 November, the event roster will be packed with a diverse range of activities to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs amongst the University’s student body. Following Vikas’ fireside chat will be a series of pitch workshops on the 21 November, delivered by Launch@ Salford, the University’s purpose-built incubation space designed to support students and graduates through the start-up phase of their business journeys. In addition, there will be a Dragon’s Den-style competition during which students will be given the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a panel of esteemed judges for the chance to secure a £500 investment to help bring their concept to life. The week will wrap up with ‘green business solutions’ panel event, in collaboration with the University’s Centre for Sustainable Innovation.
