Glyndwr University

The Centre for Learning, Teaching and Assessment

This is the staff-facing unit for developing academic practice to enhance the student learning experience. It provides staff development events on learning, teaching and assessment.

From August 2012 the CLTA took over the Zone, including the enterprise and entrepreneurship remit of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning when that closed, promoting and providing enterprise education for our students and staff. Enterprise resources for students can be found in the Glyndŵr Moodle and physically in The Zone (in Employability Building).

TED Meetings: TED is a group a academics interested in developing enterprise who meet every month for breakfast to discuss projects, papers and ideas in a relaxed and friendly environment. Enterprising You is our new suite of e-learning materials designed to support your students in the development of a portfolio of enterprise skills, which can be accessed on Moodle.

Glyndŵr University develops graduate attributes and employability skills in all its programmes. One of the Graduate Attributes is that our students will be:

Enterprising, with the ability to identify or create opportunities and take advantage of them to launch new and imaginative ventures for economic or social development in the prevailing context

The new Employability Strategy will develop work-based learning, placements and sandwich courses.
