The University of Gloucestershire is looking to appoint an Academic Subject Leader for the Business, Entrepreneurship and Financial Management subject area to join our dynamic, successful and expanding community. We have an opportunity for a talented leader with a real flair for teaching and research to lead the team who deliver a range of business, accounting and finance courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Business, Entrepreneurship and Financial Management subject area is part of the University of Gloucestershire’s Business School and is located at our purpose-built facility at Oxstalls campus in Gloucester. Our new Business School includes many state-of-the-art new facilities for both staff and students, including lecture capture facilities, a collaborative lecture room, social learning space and breakout areas. Business partnerships are at the heart of what we do and this is enhanced by our colocation with the regional LEP, Growth Hub and University in Business in our new £20m facilities. We focus on producing career ready graduates.

We are looking for applications from strong academics with specialism in one of the areas related to business, finance, accounting or allied disciplines. We are looking for an academic who is passionate about delivering a high-quality student experience, who has experience of leading teams in Higher Education and has an interest in research and development in a related subject area. The appointee will support delivering a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Given the School’s important links with the business community, knowledge and an enthusiasm to strengthen existing links and forge new ones would be an advantage. The appointee will need to have excellent communication skills and demonstrable success when working in a team environment.
