The University of Sunderland is establishing an innovative new Digital Incubator at the heart of our St Peter’s Campus. Funded by Research England and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, the Incubator will be home to our enterprising students and graduates , who will work with innovative companies and excellent support providers to create new digital and media businesses.
The academic input to the Incubator will be fundamental to its success. This critical post, as academic lead for the incubator, is a fantastic opportunity for the right person who enjoys hands-on work with students, graduates and local companies to support the development of the next generation of digital and media entrepreneurs.
Students and graduates will have the opportunity to use the hot desk facilities of the Incubator, which will include access to technical equipment and software to enable students to develop their skills and work on live projects with clients. Working with external partners The Digital Incubator will deliver workshops, mentoring and networking opportunities to enable students to develop essential enterprise and employability skills. The Digital Incubator will be staffed by a small team of staff to include – Project Manager, Academic Supervisor/Mentor and Project Support Assistant.
