Challenging the Narratives that hinder Sustainability, May 20th, On-line

2:00 am - 3:00 am 20/05/2024

We are separate from nature.

We are selfish and greedy.

Consumerism will make us happy.

Competition is the route to progress.

These are just some of the societal narratives that exist in society without being tested. These stories shape the way we act.

In this talk, Oliver Dudok van Heel will show why the validity of the – and other – societal narratives need to be tested and challenged if we are to deliver a more sustainable, post-growth future.

Oliver Dudok van Heel, is a Fellow of CUSP and of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership where he teaches corporate sustainability, following a 25-year career trying to help companies become more sustainable.
