Falmouth University

Falmouth University has a strong track-record in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, with over four times as many graduates in self-employment than the UK average. In fact, 2020 research has ranked Falmouth University second in the UK for the number of its graduates that go on to lead a business or establish their own start-up.

A survey by Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance has shown that almost one in five (19.77%) of Falmouth graduates are managing a business or creating their own. This massive study involved data from over 9.5m former university students in the UK, obtained via LinkedIn.

We recognise Entrepreneurship and Enterprise is more than start-ups, Falmouth’s 2030 strategy hard-codes developing these mindsets for all our students as a core set of skills and competencies. Falmouth’s ‘doing it for real’ approach means our student s get to experience industry challenges, techniques, systems and skills from the moment they arrive.  All our courses support students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset alongside wider skills, such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking and decision making, essential for any career or start-up.

Supported by our innovative LaunchPad programme, a dedicated School of Entrepreneurship and our employability and enterprise team, RealWORKS we can support students from the moment they arrive right through their studies and a lifelong alumni offer.
