University of Leeds

Enterprise at Leeds provides exceptional enterprise opportunities, education and support to all our students and graduates to enable economic, cultural and social impact.

By collaborating across the University of Leeds we are providing inspirational opportunities for our students to develop as creative, innovative and enterprising individuals. We see our role as providing every student with the opportunity to develop their enterprise awareness, entrepreneurial mindset, capabilities and effectiveness. In this role, we have created an environment in which our students can learn, explore and experiment.

The provision of a first-class enterprise education, underpinned by high-quality academic research is further enhanced with a rich portfolio of enterprise opportunities, which are embraced, and often led, by students and business start-up support. We have made great progress towards becoming nationally and internationally recognised for our strengths in enterprise education, the stimulation of entrepreneurial activities and the provision of high-quality business start-up support to both our students and graduates.

In 2014, the University of Leeds received the Small Business Charter GOLD Award and, in 2015, won The Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards and was named ‘Entrepreneurial University of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education Awards.

We are committed to educating aspiring entrepreneurs, supporting enterprise skills development, helping start successful companies and supporting our graduate entrepreneurs.
