About the Role:

You will primarily lead on our South Bank Works incubator programme, developing the community, and creating engaging start-up and entrepreneurial initiatives to support founders achieve their milestones.

You will be working closely with a refreshed team that is consistently recognised as an Outstanding Entrepreneurial University and be involved in devising and delivering initiatives and activity towards increasing entrepreneurial competence and opportunities.

As part of the LSBU Enterprising Futures team you will iterate and seek to do things differently to deliver an effective calendar of initiatives and support, as well as managing seed funding and entrepreneurial competitions.

Your role will also involve engaging with academic, civic, and business stakeholders, providing opportunities for wider impact.

As part of a high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful work while enjoying ownership and flexibility to inspire and respond to our entrepreneurial community. You will be supported and challenged and will have the satisfaction of seeing the impact of your work through our entrepreneurs’ development.

About You:
The role will require someone who is keen to experiment and drive growth for the benefit of our entrepreneurial community. You will have a strong understanding of the startup journey, and practical experience supporting early-stage entrepreneurs. You will be a champion of our start-ups, seeking opportunities to help them grow.

Required skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise and entrepreneurship and the challenges that students face in starting a business or social enterprise, demonstrated by experience of supporting student entrepreneurs or start-ups and/or supporting curriculum development and delivery, with a university or similarly large organisation, or own-business start-up experience.
  • Experience of developing initiatives which support entrepreneurs and business growth i.e. accelerators, incubators, competitions, and hackathons.
