New national fellowship launched to reward the pioneering work of enterprise educators.

Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) have today (5th September) announced the launch of a new fellowship, designed to recognise the achievements of the individuals at the centre of enterprise education.

The EEUK Fellowship will recognise the personal professional achievements of those working in enterprise education by offering the opportunity for individuals to gain both public profile and deserved recognition for their practice.

Based on the IOEE National Occupational Standard for Enterprise & Entrepreneurship educators, this pioneering award offers the only sector-wide recognition that is equally available to all those working as enterprise educators, including academics, practitioners and influencers.

The EEUK Board developed the award in response to calls from its members for the need for formalised recognition. The fellowship will now offer a clear route to professional recognition.

Those who wish to receive the EEUK Fellowship will be required to demonstrate their professional practice through a written portfolio. Applicants will complete four written pieces which have been carefully designed to help them reflect upon their professional practice to receive the title of ‘Fellow of EEUK’.

Enterprise Educators UK is the leading independent enterprise network for enterprise educators and works to connect educators and practitioners to share areas of best practice.

Jon Powell, Chair of Enterprise Educators UK says: “We are immensely excited to be launching the EEUK Fellowship to provide recognition for enterprise educators across the sector. Our aim, as a membership organisation, is to increase the scale, scope and effectiveness of enterprise education and practice. This individual Fellowship will help ensure that the contributions that enterprise educators make to teaching, research and engagement activities are widely recognised and celebrated. We encourage our members and wider organisations in the sector to support their staff to gain this accolade”.

The EEUK Fellowship will be launched at the International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference (IEEC) in Leeds on Wednesday 5th September.

EEUK are inviting those who wish to gain their EEUK Fellowship to register interest through the EEUK website.
