Birkbeck: ‘Pioneering’ Entrepreneurs
Birkbeck, University of London, has successfully enrolled 200 students onto its Pioneer programme for aspiring and early-stage student or graduate entrepreneurs (see image above). An extracurricular series of workshops and continuous support that runs throughout the academic year, Pioneer encourages students to get into an innovation mindset and take their business from idea to launch – culminating in a pitching competition to win funding, mentoring, and professional workspace. Each workshop is by creative and vibrant entrepreneurs, industry experts, and professional public speakers to showcase the best in current start-up talent, strengthen our private sector bonds, and put Birkbeck on the map for enterprise education. Manchester: She’s the Business
Women were empowered to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit once again at The University of Manchester’s annual She’s the Business event, which proved to be a phenomenal success. The event saw over 120 entrepreneurs from across campus and the Greater Manchester area, gather together to learn from remarkable business women. In a world where the power of social media is influence, this event brought together a range of content creators to discuss tactics for influencer marketing. Big Ideas Wales: Bootcamp to Business
Bootcamp to Business is back (21-22 March) and open to students/ graduates/ young people in Wales and also to Welsh Students (home address in Wales) studying in institutions outside of Wales. Bootcamp is an intensive weekend of business workshops and interactive sessions to help participants launch a business and get it off the ground. The network of other young entrepreneurs attending is also an important element of the opportunity generated by the Bootcamp. More details here.
