EEUK Exchange Event: Inclusive Enterprise as Everyday Practice –  Lessons from Europe

11:00 am - 2:00 pm 27/05/2026

EEUK Online CPD Workshop | 11:00-14:00 | Wednesday 27 May | MS Teams

Why this workshop?

Inclusion is too often treated as a bolt-on. This creates a timely opportunity to move beyond viewing inclusion as a discrete initiative and instead embed it within the everyday design, delivery and evaluation of programmes. By focusing on how inclusion is enacted in practice, institutions can more effectively support participation, belonging and progression across diverse learner groups.

This interactive CPD workshop explores positioning it as something shaped through everyday decisions: how you facilitate, what you resource, who you invite into rooms, and whose knowledge you legitimise. Using a practical framework combining Context Mechanism Outcome (CMO) thinking with a practice lens (sayings, doings, relatings and materials), you will analyse your own context and leave with concrete commitments for change.

What you will explore

Four significant initiatives form the evidence base:

  • Charter for Inclusive Entrepreneurship – an organisational change framework for embedding inclusion at the institutional level
  • Accelerating Women’s Enterprise – ERDF-funded European research on relational pedagogy and ecosystem-facing approaches
  • DfE Skills Bootcamps for Creatives – lessons from delivering inclusive programmes under real quality and resource constraints
  • Rewiring Research Programme – challenging exclusionary norms in entrepreneurial finance

What you will take away

  • A practical reflective framework you can apply immediately
  • Case studies and examples drawn from current research
  • Space to work through live challenges with peers
  • Approaches for evidencing impact and meeting institutional expectations

Who should attend

Enterprise educators, professional services staff, entrepreneurship researchers, academic leaders, innovation managers and institutional decision-makers.
