10:00 am - 4:00 pm 03/02/2027
Date: Wednesday 3 February 2027
Time: 10am-4pm GMT
Venue: Northumbria University, Newcastle, and online (hybrid)
Organisers: Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) and Enterprise Educators East Africa (EEEA)
Audience: Entrepreneurship educators, researchers, practitioners and ecosystem builders from the UK and Africa
Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) and Enterprise Educators East Africa (EEEA) invite you to an international exchange event exploring how communities of practice can connect local and global entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Entrepreneurship education does not happen in isolation. It is shaped by the places, institutions, cultures and networks in which it is rooted, and some of the most valuable insights emerge when educators step outside their own context and learn from others. This event brings together colleagues from across the UK and Africa to share practice, compare approaches and explore what each ecosystem can learn from the other.
Delivered in a hybrid format, the event features contributions from speakers based in both regions, showcasing the innovative work taking place across our two nations. Alongside these presentations, the programme is deliberately designed around exchange: dedicated time for networking, conversation and the development of collaborative partnerships. The event will also bring together adjacent networks including International Business Schools Network, the African Innovation and Entrepreneurship (AfrIE) Research Hub, and the special interest group for Research in Entrepreneurship Education linked to the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE), as well as feature international insights in higher education innovation conducted by the Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management 4 project.
Whether you are an educator, researcher, practitioner or ecosystem builder, you will leave with new perspectives, new contacts and practical opportunities to collaborate across borders.
