Application to attend Writing Retreat

26th-27th June 2023 at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham University

The Research in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education Special Interest Group and the Family Business Special Interest Group are co-hosting the second ISBE and EEUK Writing Retreat. The event will be co-chaired by Dr Emily Beaumont and Dr Breda O’Dwyer (REntEd SIG) and Dr James Cunningham and Dr Udeni Salmon (Family Business SIG) at the Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham University, from the 26th-27th June 2023.

The retreat will be an opportunity for those undertaking research in the areas of entrepreneurship education and/or family and community business to spend time writing to develop an output.  This is not limited to a journal article, but can include a blog, podcast script, book chapter, etc. We encourage both academics and practitioners, as well as early career and established researchers to consider applying to attend.

The writing retreat includes lunch and refreshment on both days and overnight accommodation and an evening meal on the 26th June 2023.  It will be offered at a reduced rate (subsidised by ISBE) of £175 per person which must be paid by 5th May 2023.  There are 18 spaces on offer.  If you wish to be considered for one of the spaces available, please complete the following online application by 24th April 2023.  We will endeavour to communicate the results of applications by early May 2023.
