Enterprise Exchange Event: Hyperconnectors & Enterprise Educators – The People Who Make or Break Your Enterprise Programme

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm 23/04/2026

Format: Interactive panel and workshop (90 minutes, Online)

Across the UK, enterprise support teams are being asked to do more with less. Yet the biggest untapped asset in most ecosystems is not technology or funding, it is people.

This session explores the role of hyperconnectors, the people who hold ecosystems together through trust and collaboration. Drawing on case studies from Oxford Brookes, the University of Oxford, and BIPC Oxfordshire, we will show how people, not systems, are driving enterprise growth across the region.

Outline Schedule

0–10 min: Welcome and context-setting, introducing People Are the Platform and Oxford’s enterprise ecosystem.

10–25 min: Oxford-based case studies highlighting connector-led impact across BIPC Oxfordshire, Oxford Brookes, and CoLab Oxford.

25–45 min: Interactive ecosystem-mapping exercise to identify hyperconnectors and underused connections.

45–65 min: Panel and group discussion on activating, rewarding, and protecting connectors sustainably.

65–85 min: Action planning and Q&A focused on practical next steps and embedding the approach.

85–90 min: Wrap-up, key takeaways, and invitation to join the cross-university Hyperconnector Network.

This event builds directly on the Hyperconnectors & Enterprise Educators session being delivered at IEEC UK 2025 and expands it into a live, interactive learning format for the wider EEUK community.

Attendees will leave with:

• A printable Ecosystem Mapping Template to visualise and identify their own hyperconnectors.
• A Hyperconnector Activation Guide based on the Oxford model.
• Practical examples of cross-institutional collaboration (Oxford Brookes, University of Oxford, BIPC Oxfordshire).
This is not a session about systems or software. It is about people. How to empower them, protect them, and multiply their impact within enterprise education.

Speakers and Facilitators:

Unai Ledesma Gorostizaga, Business Start-up Advisor, Oxford Brookes University

Victoria Porritt, Enterprise Manager, University of Oxford (EnSpire Oxford)
