This session won Best in Track 6: Beyond Funding: Impactful Innovations at the International Enterprise Educators Conference 2026, and is now being opened up as an online event for the wider EEUK community. If you were not able to join us at IEEC in person but want a taste of what the conference has to offer, this session is a must-attend.
Generative AI is already part of how students learn. Still, too often it is used passively, producing answers rather than building the judgement, creativity, and ethical awareness that enterprise education aims to develop. So how can educators move from unstructured AI use to something purposeful?
In this session, Gbemisola Ogbolu from Teesside University share a practical, research-informed toolkit that repositions AI as a structured thinking partner rather than a shortcut. Drawing on work with 132 students across three modules, alongside insights from academic staff and business leaders, they will show how structured AI use led to stronger engagement, creativity and collaboration, and a clear shift towards critical evaluation and reflection.
At the heart of the toolkit is a novel dual-framework approach, bringing together the EntreComp Framework’s 15 entrepreneurial competencies with Dooyeweerd’s 15 Aspects of Everyday Life. Together, they align skill development with ethical, social and value-based reflection. Students work through a simple Generate, Evaluate, Reflect, and Act cycle, learning to question AI outputs, surface assumptions and risks, and weigh the real-world implications of their ideas.
You will leave with:
- A structured model for embedding Generative AI in enterprise teaching
- An AI Prompt Library aligned with EntreComp
- A dual-framework reflective template and Responsible AI Use Guidelines
- Assessment and transparency tools you can apply straight away
Who should attend: Enterprise educators, academics, practitioners and anyone shaping how AI is used in teaching and learning, whatever their current level of experience with AI.
