Salford: Festival of Entrepreneurship & Innovation

The first ever Festival of Entrepreneurship & Innovation will be hosted by the Launch Business Incubator in the Salford Business School. The Festival kicks off on Monday 17 May and is a great opportunity for students and alumni to find out more about setting up their own business and making it successful. There is a fantastic 5 week programme of activities for all students, alumni and the public to get involved with. The University is also launching 3 new business competitions for Salford students to win business start-up funding from a £40,000 grants pot! UCL: Masters student launches business in Armenia

UCL master’s student Mher Datyan has launched a business in war-torn Armenia during the pandemic, with support from UCL Innovation & Enterprise. Mher is part-way through his MA in Educational Leadership at UCL. Since arriving in London in 2020, he has successfully launched the NorArar Education Initiative for displaced children in Armenia. He took part in UCL’s Build your own business (Explore and Launch) programmes, to access business support and get his social enterprise up and running. Mher shares his experience here.
