Nottingham: YES24 Final at the Royal Society

Team Terrain Solutions from the John Innes Centre won four awards at the YES24 final, including Overall Winner. Their hypothetical business idea focused on sustainable agriculture, using an AI model to develop tailored biostimulants that boost crop yields while reducing reliance on traditional fertilisers. The team also secured Best Sustainable Agriculture Business Plan (sponsored by Syngenta), Best Executive Summary (sponsored by Reacta Healthcare), and the People’s Choice Award (sponsored by Indigo Business Services Ltd). YES (Your Entrepreneurs Scheme) challenges participants to develop innovative business ideas addressing real-world issues, equipping early-career researchers with entrepreneurial skills.

Arts: London Social Ventures (LSV)
London Social Ventures (LSV) is a Research England collaboration between London universities supporting social venturing across the capital. The project has had a busy start to 2025, supporting ventures from ideation to start-up stage, driving early market success and sustainable impact. Social ventures turn research and ideas into real-world change.
