Based in Newcastle University’s Careers Service, Rise Up champions and develops the enterprising skills, ambitions and successes of its students and graduates, throughout the University.
We offer expert guidance, training, resources and opportunities to our students and graduates to enhance their enterprising skills, explore new ideas, or launch new business ventures.
Developing Enterprise Skills
Rise Up works alongside academics and our colleagues in the Careers Service to provide our students with the opportunity to develop their enterprise skills as part of their degree programmes. Currently we provide curricular and co-curricular support to a vast array of subject areas, engaging over 2,000 students each year.
Our innovative central module, NCL2100 allows students from a wide range of subject areas to gain academic credit whilst enhancing their enterprising skills and entrepreneurial effectiveness. During the module students work consultancy projects and the development of new business ventures.
