Queen Mary University, London

Queen Mary University of London supports student enterprise and entrepreneurship in a variety of ways. The Careers & Enterprise Centre has a dedicated Enterprise team who run a programme of activity to support the development of entrepreneurial skills and new venture creation. Students can access one to one appointments as well as a variety of workshops and networking events. In November 2014 a new start-up incubator ‘InQUBEate’ was created, an 8 week training and mentoring programme which has supported the development of 60 student businesses since its launch. In collaboration with Santander, the university also runs seed fund competitions for students and recent graduates, awarding up to £10,000 to develop high potential ideas.

The university is keen to embed enterprise within the local community and is currently a partner on the UnLtd project ‘Tower Hamlets SEEN’; a regional cluster that supports the development of social enterprise amongst young people in the area.
