What is the Centre of Entrepreneurship?
The Centre of Entrepreneurship provides a physical focal point for any University of Dundee student, researcher, staff member or recent graduate to access expert support and advice to explore a new business idea or to learn the latest enterprising skills. The centre is a cutting-edge facility based on campus in partnership with Elevator.
In a unique approach the centre utilises a design-led approach throughout the activities it runs to inspire innovation, building on the university’s, and indeed, the city of Dundee’s global reputation in this field.
Enterprise Challenge
An exciting extra-curricular skills programme consisting of fun and interactive workshops delivered by industry experts. The workshops bring you into a team environment where you will find out more about your personality, develop and research a business idea and then pitch it at the Enterprise Challenge final for a chance to win a share of the prize funds.
Open to staff, students, and recent graduates.
Entrepreneurial Masterclasses
Our masterclasses run in Semester 1, and established entrepreneurs are invited to talk about their entrepreneurial journey, and deliver a session in their specific area of skills expertise.

Entrepreneurship Week and Venture Competition
Entrepreneurship Week runs during the last week of February and provides entrepreneurs access to a series of events to provide skills, knowledge and funding opportunities to further their business idea. The culmination of Entrepreneurship Week is the Principal’s annual lecture in Entrepreneurship and the final of our University-wide new business competition – Venture.

Accelerate Your Business
In a unique partnership with Elevator, we are proud to be one of the few academic institutions in the world with a bespoke business accelerator hosted on campus at the Centre of Entrepreneurship. Once you have embraced the essential enterprise skills, and developed your idea to a stage where it is ready to be sky-rocketed, you can then apply to one of the intakes of Elevator’s accelerator programme.
The accelerator is designed to fast-track your business to investment and success by providing you with: free desk space alongside fellow entrepreneurs, a bespoke curriculum and access to all of the advice expertise and contacts you will require to take your business to the next level.
