The Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and venture creation across the university community. As part of one of the world’s leading research universities, the Centre supports students, researchers, and alumni from diverse disciplines in developing the mindset, skills, and networks required to transform ideas into impactful ventures.
Through a combination of experiential learning programs, mentorship, funding opportunities, and venture support, the Centre promotes enterprise education that is accessible and interdisciplinary. Our programming includes startup accelerators, venture competitions, workshops, and founder development initiatives designed to help participants identify opportunities, test solutions, and build sustainable ventures. By integrating entrepreneurial learning with real-world application, we enable participants to develop critical competencies such as opportunity recognition, problem-solving, leadership, and resilience.
The Centre also plays an important role in connecting the university ecosystem with industry partners, investors, and the broader innovation community. Through these collaborations, we provide entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, resources, and pathways to scale their ventures beyond the academic environment.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are core to our mission. We actively support founders from underrepresented backgrounds and aim to lower barriers to entrepreneurship by providing inclusive programming and community-building opportunities.
By embedding enterprise education within the broader academic and innovation ecosystem at the University of Toronto, the Centre for Entrepreneurship empowers the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers to create economic, social, and environmental impact locally and globally.
