Enterprise at the University of York

The University of York Enterprise team, part of Careers and Placements, provides assistance to any student or recent graduate who wishes to grow their business or develop their enterprise skills. Students can access a range of advice, funding, events and competitions. Opportunities include our Summer Accelerator program that provide students the chance to trial their business over the summer vacation.

We have partnered with Santander and our Digital Creativity Labs to create ‘Digital Leaders’ – a scheme that provides students with networking opportunities in the digital creative sector. We also run an immersive ‘startup weekend’ designed to develop creativity and innovation skills.

Student Entrepreneurs can make use the hot-desking facilities at our Student Enterprise Space and work alongside local businesses. Student led societies such as York Community Consulting and Enactus York also provide opportunities to work on consultancy projects for local businesses, or create social enterprises  with community partners.
