Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, learning by doing, and coaching high-performing teams within a globally renowned institution shaping enterprise education? Aston University is seeking a Business Enterprise Development Coach to join our innovative Team Academy programmes, based in the Centre for Enterprise, Coaching and Innovation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a unique, practice-led entrepreneurship education, working directly with dynamic student teams building real-world ventures from day one.
Aston Business School is a triple-accredited global leader in SME support and enterprise education, driving innovation through initiatives like the CREME research centre and the Centre for Growth. Our Enterprise Strategy, aligned with the Aston 2030 Vision, prioritises entrepreneurship, innovation, and community impact.
At Aston, you will be part of a vibrant and supportive university culture, empowered to make a real difference through education and enterprise. You will have the freedom to shape team coaching in higher education, collaborate with leaders and entrepreneurs, and impact future innovators. As a Team Coach, you will utilise team coaching to deliver innovative, team-based learning, facilitate ‘learning by doing’ through live projects and experiential sessions, and support learners in forming and running their ventures. You will also contribute to scholarship activity in the Centre and engage with SMEs across Birmingham.
We are seeking a flexible, creative, and reflective practitioner with a passion for lifelong learning, potentially from academia, industry, or the startup world. With experience in team coaching, enterprise/startup development, or learning facilitation, ideally within a Team Academy setting. A strong commitment to learner-centred approaches and a collaborative mindset are essential. Some experience in research, scholarship or thought leadership is desirable. You should possess a relevant degree or equivalent coaching experience and either hold HEA Fellowship or be willing to work towards it.
